A newly bought Android isn’t open enough to give you some of the desired additional features you want. You might have heard people talking about Rooting, some in favor, some against it. Well here you can see how rooting your smartphone can be the best decision. So below are some of the reasons for rooting your android device.

Best Reasons for Rooting your Android Smartphone

rooting reasons

1. Unlocking Hidden Features and Installing Incompatible Apps

Sometimes an app is blocked or sometimes the Store says it’s incompatible or isn’t available. Luckily, rooting can help with that: you can install carrier-blocked apps, get features and stuff from the latest version of Android, and most of all, make incompatible apps compatible, power up your hardware. Whatever you want, rooting gives you the power to do it and a lot more.

2. Boost Your Phone’s Speed and Battery Life

You can however speed up your phone and boost its battery life without rooting, but honestly I haven’t seen many people convinced by it. With root access as always you have even more power over your smartphone. With apps like SetCPU you can overclock your phone for better gaming experience, or underclock it for better battery life. There are apps that you can use like Greenify to automatically hibernate apps that you aren’t currently using .

3. Block Ads in Any App

Ads can sometimes can get really annoying. Ads can also get in the way. I know we all hate those sudden pop-ups. If you want to block ads in certain apps or on certain devices, rooting is by far the best way to do so. AdFreeAdBlock Plus, and Ad Away are all some of the good options. Of course, if you aren’t rooted, going into airplane mode works in a pinch too.

4. Back Up Your Phone for Seamless Transitions

When you move to a new Android os smartphone or device—or restore your smartphone or device to stock os for any reason—you can make your life a lot easier by backing up your apks and settings first. That way, you can get your entire setup back in just a few taps. If you aren’t rooted, you can easily and conveniently back up a few things like apps and data, but you won’t necessarily be able to backup system or stock apps and their data but Titanium Backup can. which ofcourse will work only if you are rooted.

5. Remove Pre-installed Software

You can also uninstall those annoying, battery-sucking, space-consuming and totally irrelevant crapware that comes preinstalled on so many phones these days, and, sadly, this feature requires root. Delete them completely to free up that space. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

6. Flash a Custom Kernel

Some of Android’s most under-the-hood tweaks require a custom kernel, which you can only flash with a rooted device. For those who don’t know, the kernel is responsible for helping your apps communicate with the hardware of your smartphone, meaning a custom kernel can give you better performance, faster battery charging, battery life, and even some extras like WiFi tethering on unsupported phones, and lots more. Now who doesn’t want that? There are many best rooting apps for Android available to root Android without pc.

7. Flash a Custom ROM

Yeah I know that you already know about this one and it’s one of the best benefits of rooting. A custom ROM is basically just another custom version of Android with lots of new options, and it seriously changes the way of  how you use your phone. Some roms can bring a near stock version of Android to a non-stock phones or ones with manufacturers own os, or later versions of Android to phones that don’t have it yet. Some change your operating system from completely. No matter what phone you use ,I myself recommend checking out the custom ROMs out there. And I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed.

8. Truly Own Your Device

In the end, it all come down to one single most thing: you own your device  to the fullest extent, and the power to do whatever tweaks with it as you please. Certain manufacturers and carriers try to keep that from happening, but with root access, you truly own your device and open yourself up to all the possibilities other parties try to block. Sure, there’s some risk involved, but has that ever stopped us?
